Fiji Waves Ring Dish

Fiji Waves Ring Dish
These dainty bowls roughly measure 3 inches in width and are about .4 inches in height.
I hand build each of these Ring Dishes from porcelain clay and use gemstones as the tools for trimming to infuse powerful properties from Mother Earth. Once they are dry (about a week or so) I dip them in a crisp white glaze and hand paint them with a combination of blue and green glazes. The colors were intentionally chosen to represent the waters I experienced in Fiji.
I create small batch ceramics with each bowl being slightly different than the next. I prefer that each bowl is unique and has its own personality....just like us—no one will ever be the same.
This Ring Dish is the perfect place to store your rings, gems and other jewelry or you can use it for incense or your smudging ritual.
Don't have a smudging ritual? You can add on a sage bundle and palo santo stick with the drop down menu. Here is a little insight on smudging:
Palo Santo directly translates into 'Holy Wood'. When it is burned, the smoke is believed to have both medicinal and therapeutic healing power. This ancient ritual known as smudging will welcome creativity, love, and good fortune into your space. The wood can help brighten energy and promote feelings of positivity and joy. The scent is also shown to reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance clarity and concentration.
Sage Bundle when burned is known as smudging and is an ancient spiritual ritual. The Latin word for sage is ‘Salvia,’ which stems from the word ‘to heal.’ There are many other qualities of sage when burned, such as giving wisdom, clarity and increasing spiritual awareness.
Cleansing rituals can be as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be, but it’s of the highest importance that your intention be clear before you begin. If you are burning palo santo or sage to purify a space, or a person (even yourself) then this needs to be clearly planted in your mind before you the light the palo santo or sage. It is important while taking the smoke around a home, or through a space, to continuously keep your intention at the forefront of your mind.
